Device of Preliminary Control of Insulation Resistance

Device of Preliminary Control of Insulation Resistance (PCIR-01) is designed to measure and control the insulation resistance of cable lines of the three-phase circuit in the cells of metal-clad switchgears of the voltage class of 6-10 kV before turning on the high power circuit-breaker with enable / disable signaling for the power circuit-breaker switching-on.

Device of Preliminary Control of Insulation Resistance (PCIR-01) is designed to measure and control the insulation resistance of cable lines of the three-phase circuit in the cells of metal-clad switchgears of the voltage class of 6-10 kV before turning on the high power circuit-breaker with enable / disable signaling for the power circuit-breaker switching-on.

 

 

It controls three lines of a three-phase circuit.

 

 

It generates and controls the additional standard line to reduce the effects of temperature changes on the measurement accuracy.

 

 

It separates from cable lines by the the high-voltage bleeder unit that includes 4 high-voltage resistor of 20 MOm 1% accuracy; one resistor for each line and one for the standard line.

 

 

There is no need to disconnect cable lines from the device unit during the supply of the high-voltage to the line.

 

 

It alerts about the reduced insulation resistance of the controlled cable lines at removed high voltage.

 

 

It checks the status of the auxiliary contact of the power circuit-breaker.

 

 

It alerts about the line high-voltage with turned on as well as with turned off power circuit-breaker.

 

 

It inhibits the power circuit-breaker turn on at reduced insulation resistance or lines high voltage when the power circuit-breaker is turned off.

 

 

It allows the user to take into account the differences between resistance of high-voltage resistors and the nominal value due to the built-in calibration function.

 

 

The front panel has the following indicators:

 

 

  • calibration mode and control mode;

 

  • status of the auxiliary contact of the high-voltage power circuit-breaker and the presence of lines high-voltage;

 

  • status of each controlled line;

 

  • lines emergency situation.

 

 

The buttons on the front panel allow the user to:

 

 

  • select the calibration mode before lines status test;

 

  • restart the device for lines retest.
