The EM-480 provides data acquisition from connected MODBUS devices, data transmission to the server, data access (via MODBUS TCP or SMS text messages), event tracking and event response (sending SMS notifications, writing values to MODBUS devices).

EM-480 provides:

  • Flexible connection options (wired or wireless communication, automatic selection of communication method with the server, automatic or manual detection of GSM service provider and communication parameters, override of MAC address and other Ethernet parameters)
  • Access protection (setup mode password, IP address filter for setup or MODBUS connection, connection only to a specified server with automatic authorisation, SMS control password)
  • Various MODBUS communication modes (RTU or ASCII, parity checked, odd and unchecked, wide range of baud rates, configurable delay)
  • Programming of data acquisition, events and event actions (see Appendix B)
  • Service functions (real-time clock, firmware upgrade)
