ET-485 (24B) is a microprocessor device designed for data exchange over the 10BASE-T and 100BASE-T Ethernet network with equipment equipped with an RS-485 interface and forming a Modbus network.

The device provides Modbus server functions for Modbus client connections over the Ethernet network. The device redirects Modbus requests from customers to devices on the Modbus network and returns responses from devices to customers.

ET-485 (24B) provides:

  • flexible addressing in the Ethernet network (redefined MAC address, static or dynamic IP address)
  • protection of access through the Ethernet network (setting mode password, IP address filter for setting or for connecting to the Modbus network)
  • different modes of exchange over the Modbus RTU or ASCII network, with parity check for chet, nechet and without check, wide range of transmission speeds, adjustable delay)
