Challenge

In a small production plant, many systems were manually controlled daily: water circulation pumps, outdoor and indoor lighting, heating, fans and compressed air systems. Personnel had to monitor and turn devices on/off every day, which generated errors, suboptimal energy consumption and increased operating costs. In addition, the lack of precise device scheduling limited production flexibility and led to excessive electricity consumption.

Solution

Several REV-303 programmable timers were used, strategically placed in systems controlling individual processes. Built-in memory for 500 events allowed planning all processes in advance, and autonomous operation of the devices ensured minimal personnel intervention.

Challenge

The use of the REV-303 timer enabled full automation of lighting and heating systems. Daily and weekly schedules were set for individual floors of the house, separately for lamps, backlights and LED strips.

Outdoor lighting - facade illumination, landscape and decorative water tank - has been programmed in astronomical mode, which automatically adjusts working hours to sunrise and sunset. The system also switches itself between daylight saving time and winter time.

Underfloor heating has been synchronized with the presence of household members, which allowed maintaining thermal comfort without excessive energy consumption. After selecting optimal settings, the system works practically maintenance-free, and changes to schedules are introduced only if necessary.
